The tools we use today weren't built for the teams of today. Most of us are hybrid or remote at this point, and it's crazy to try to run all internal communications through chatrooms. IRC is so 2016, it's time for something better.

Things really started to feel broken when we consistently had trouble onboarding new employees and providing them with historical context on important discussions, when the firehose of overwhelming messages streamed through Slack, and security on Discord continued to be put on the back-burner.
